This article presents the report of an academic experience for the teaching of accessibility through the proposal of an "Accessibility Experience", which is offered semesterly to students of the 2nd year of the Architecture and Urbanism course of the UFPB, by the Accessibility Lab -LACESSE. It occurs within the scope of the disciplines of Project I and Urban Design I, and acts through the awareness of future professionals; consisting of three stages: the pre-experience, the experience itself and the experience. The first presents the objective of the experiment and instructs the students, presenting the physical space that will be the stage of the activity, the second is the practical part, and the latter synthesizes, after reflection and comparative analysis with the legislation, personal perception and sensations experienced by the participants. As a result, students are made aware of both the need to consider different users in their project and the importance of legislation as a minimum parameter; in addition, environments are diagnosed.
