Expansão e empobrecimento de um repertório tipomorfológico: a produção de condomínios fechados em São Luís do Maranhão entre 2001 e 2009
Abstract
Understanding the process of expansion of this typomorphological repertoire of condominial housing, as it develops and reorients urban design causing stratification and social self-segregation were the factors that drove the research that originated this article. The growth of the city in the time cut from 2001 to 2009 was taken as a starting point for the elucidation of the period of great growth of the fortified enclaves in the urban fabric of the capital of Maranhao. As a main consequence we see the ratification of the process of urban segmentation that has been taking place in the municipality. The work used in its methodology the observation of aerophotogrametry images for the elaboration of the maps with the classification and counting of the typologies suggested from condominiums and the monthly nominal income range attributed to the neighborhood in which it is inserted. The perception of the expansion of the repertoire closed condominiums of houses and or buildings is blatant, as well as impoverishment of the model.
