Depressão e ansiedade: Teresina e seu reflexo no indivíduo

Abstract

The numbers of cases of depression diagnosed daily in Teresina have been growing rapidly. In view of this, this article brings some current characteristics of the urban morphology that can influence in the emotional behavior of the individual in the capital of Piauí. Social, climatic, morphological, economic, and contemporary aspects were listed in order to arrive at satisfactory conclusions about the influence of the environment on the human emotional. A bibliographical research was made and it was considered contributions of renowned authors, such as CARLOS, Ana F. A. (2007) and BAUMAN, Zygmunt. (1997) and (2001) in order to reinforce how much urban morphology can influence the depressive behavior of contemporary Teresina society.
