Avaliação qualitativa de espaços livres de uso público: estudos sobre sociabilidade, usos e atividades

Abstract

With urban evolution, the lack of open spaces for public use is noticeable which attend the population, both in quantity and quality. As an aid to the evaluation of these spaces, more precisely of the squares, the present research discusses the adequacy of a tool destined to the study of ways for the proposed purpose, next to the identification and evaluation of 11 plazas of the administrative region 6 - Goiabeiras, located in the city of Vitória - ES - Brasil. A research group organized by the collaboration between two universities carries out the research. With the bibliographical survey, the key foundation for the structuring of the work, not only was it possible to know the Walkability Index (iCam), but also allowed changes to it. Based on the preestablished indicators, the squares were identified, with subsequent application of the same, aiming at the analysis and comparison of the classifications obtained. This article will present the evaluation corresponding to the category "Sociability, Uses and Activities", one of the 4 for which the proposed indicators are organized. The results of the research enrich the field of qualitative evaluation of open spaces through the direct applicability of the indicators, which are scarce in the area and predicts, later, the application of these in other regions that present deficiency in the qualitative perception of public spaces.
