Mobilidade e Planejamento Urbano em Rio Branco (AC) - Correspondências e contrapontos entre o Plano Diretor de Transporte e Trânsito (PDTT/2009) e as diretrizes do Plano Nacional de Mobilidade Urbana Sustentável (PNMUS/2004)
Abstract
The motivation for this article is the expressive scale of the cycling infrastructure system developed by the Rio Branco municipality, in Acre state, where in 2017 there were 178.3 kilometers dedicated to this mode of nonmotorized transportation. This figure draws attention when we observe the size of the city, with only 370,500 inhabitants, contrasting with the proportion of cycle paths per capta being noticeably higher when compared to other larger cities. The article intends to analyze the bicycle paths as a starting point for another look, to discuss the public policies focused on urban development and urban mobility in the city of Rio Branco, focusing on the relationship between the Rio Branco Transit and Transportation Master Plan, from 2009, and the guidelines of the National Urban Development Plan, elaborated by the Ministry of Cities in 2004. Therefore, it is presented the concepts that define urban mobility and its insertion in the context of intersectoral policies that comprise it as fundamental piece in the development of urban centers and confronting the socioeconomic inequalities that mark these territories
