In recent years, the Right to Experience the City enters as a strong Human Rights agenda, in the academic context and social struggles. Quality access to health, education, public safety, culture, transportation and leisure are guaranteed. However, the reality for many individuals, perceived as minorities of power, is the violation of rights and their exposure to various types of violence. Among these individuals are those who represent the LGBT community, who, in breaking the heterogeneous pattern of gender and sexuality, are exposed, in addition to aggressions in general, to the right to express themselves in the urban space. This practice ends up promoting a process of territorialization with the election of urban spaces conducive to the free exercise of their conditions of existence. This research aims to report, present and discuss the results of an investigation that took place in the city of João Pessoa, about the 'how' is the sociability and sexual freedom of the LGBT population in the capital of Paraíba. From the application of questionnaires, it was possible to map three centralities where the LGBT population meets: the city center, the border and the border between the East Zone and the South Zone. In a second stage, some direct interviews collaborated to identify the specificities of the dynamics of each place, from the point of view of the users. The results point to aspects that can guide public policies aimed at building more democratic, inclusive and accessible spaces.
