This article presents the Kantuta Square redevelopment project, carried out through a partnership between the Humanizar/IFSP university extension and the Pari neighborhood association, in the city of São Paulo. This specific area contributes significantly to the formation of local identity and consists in an important center of experiences exchange, leisure offer and source of income, however, it is precarious in its maintenance and lack of space for cultural presentations. The objective is to expose the design process development of the square and to discuss the participatory process among the residents of the neighborhood, the students and the IFSP teachers, which led to the realization of an architectural project and its presentation to the population.
