A cidadania insurgente na revisão do plano diretor participativo de Palmas – TO

Abstract

This article aims to review the Participatory Master Plan of Palmas (PDPP), completed in 2018, in which the civil society organization, strengthened by an insurgent citizenship, led the control institutions to intervene and the municipal executive power to rethink and reorganize the work methodology. Through documentary analysis it was possible to present the decisive moments of action of the insurgent citizenship under construction in Palmas, capable of acting actively in favor of participatory democracy. The experience of civil society and state interaction in urban planning and management in Palmas in the last five years of the PDPP has been the focus of this article.
