A busca da composição complexa: um estudo sobre o processo de projeto e seus procedimentos
Abstract
The article deals with the interpretation and development of the concept of Architectural Composition, using as a case study the procedures adopted for the design of the building of the headquarters of the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB) and of the Lawyers Assistance Box (CAA) (Campo Grande, 1997/2004), project of the architect José Luiz Tabith and team. This article analyses their generating process, drawing lines of understanding about the anachronistic concept of composition, whilst promoting new understandings between architectonic pieces in the last decades of the 20th Century and the beginning of the 21st century. The main focus of the article are the changes that occurred in the relations between ideas of unity and diversity and how those speak to the permanence of the concept of architectural composition. Due to the diverse ideas on and contributions to the topic during the passage of the century, the article intends to discuss how designs such as the one the CAA and OAB have in their project a focus in expression and complexity in the design procedure.
