Temas e desafios sobre a Assistência Técnica Habitacional baseadas no estudo de caso de CANHEMA II
Abstract
The article reports on the experience gained in constructing housing units for the “Canhema II” project, a Social Interest subdivision located in the Brazilian city of Diadema. A group of low-income residents organized under an association hired the services of an architecture firm to assist them in carrying out their housing designs and supervising the corresponding construction works. This case study seeks to identify aspects that may contribute to the debate of Technical Housing Assistance and point out difficulties and challenges that stakeholders must overcome, involving issues such as: (1) the usefulness of carrying out the construction designs for the assisted low-income groups; (2) and the different degrees of participation and autonomy of social housing beneficiaries.
