Projeto participativo em assentamentos precários: reflexões e experiência na comunidade Portelinha em Curitiba
Abstract
This article intends to understand aspects related to viability, process and application of a participatory architectural project in areas of precarious settlements in the current Brazilian reality. For this purpose, the view of Jacques (2001) about the spatial configuration of favelas is used, in order to break with the superficial and formalistic view of the precarious settlements and learn from their specificities. From this position, the conceptualization of a participatory project in the Latin American context is explored, in order to understand the means to make the construction of spaces more inclusive, as well as the role of Architecture and Urbanism professionals in this process. In order to illustrate some possibilities, this article will present the experience of the undergraduate thesis of Architecture and Urbanism of the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR) authored by Evelyn Makovski, entitled “Qualification of spaces for collective use in the community Portelinha: a participatory approach”, in which it was tried to work in a multidisciplinary way.
