This work is studying cases where space propositions are closed to heritage buildings to discuss guidelines for the projective act in the elaboration of architectural and urbanistic parties. It aims to emphasize the importance of the memory of the place and the preexisting metric relations in the surrounding ancient buildings as conditioners of the new project, as a way of respecting the old marks in construction and comparing spatial relations that promote the formal dialogue between the new and the old buildings. He understands that this procedure is a way of valuing the office of the professional architect and town planner, in addition to erecting a deontological stance, insofar as it values and preserves the patrimony for future generations. For this purpose, data were searched through bibliographical, iconographic and documentary research, verifying the importance of memory as a cultural catalyst, observing urban spaces of patrimonial value and presenting drawings that elucidate the proposition on screen.
