Design Thinking: uma abordagem de projeto de arquitetura

Abstract

This paper aims to propose an architecture design approach based on Design Thinking (DT). Design Science Research (DSR) was used as the scientific method to structure this work. It was structured in the following stages: awareness, where research on DT-based approaches was conducted; suggestion and development, where 5 DT alternatives were proposed; assessment, where approaches were qualitatively evaluated; and conclusion, summarizing the work. DT has proved to be an approach with enormous potential in the field of architecture and urban planning, systematizing the design process, instigating holistic thinking and exploring design alternatives, and resulting in potentially more user-friendly architectural solutions.
