The occupation and urbanization of cities are inevitable phenomena that are no longer successfully governed. The current model of urban planning does not understand the city as a series of consolidated preexistences, thus wasting a qualitative potential of future occupying existing urban voids. This research aims to develop a methodology of spatial propositions based on formal parameters that seek to take the best advantage of this interventions on their surroundings in a quali-and-quantitative view. This investigation analyzed diverse building typologies as the costs of their architectural decisions, also relating their formal aspects with environmental performance and land occupation. Finally, algorithms where developed to read urban sites and generate new typologies based on these parameters and the influence of their specific context, seeking to identify and evaluate – through the concept of parametric urbanism, its occupancy potential.
