“Brasília, 1968: Niemeyer e o projeto para o Quartel General do Exército.”
Abstract
The singularity of the Architectural Complex of the General Headquarters of the Army in Brasilia, deserves mention among the works of the architect Oscar Niemeyer. The project, little discussed in the architect's trajectory and in the chronology of Brazilian architecture, has notorious elements and constructive solutions from previous experiences that place it as an object of study relevant to academic studies. As a way of recording and producing content, it is worth mentioning the existence of a set of boards with technical drawings of the main buildings that make up the Army Headquarters. The unpublished material, in possession of the Army, was visited and used as basis for analysis of the study.
