Espaços para Crianças e Adolescentes no Sistema de Justiça: a linguagem do ambiente construído como expressão da efetividade de direitos
Abstract
This article addresses the policies of child and adolescent care in Brazil reflected in the built space of public and private institutions over the years through the evolution of the rights of children and adolescents and the history of public and private institutional spaces offered to this public. from the Colonial period to the present day. The assumption is that law is a reflection of society with all the complex and heterogeneous characteristics and aspects that compose it, and that physical space, reflecting these aspects, is a language that speaks according to precise cultural and profound conceptions. Although its biological roots are not always explicit and recognizable, it is perceived very early on by humans. And on the other hand, all behavior is somehow influenced by the spatial framework in which it manifests itself. The general objective of this work was to describe the evolution of the historical condition of the juvenile public in the Brazilian institutional scenario and the specific objective was to provide greater familiarity with contexts involving children and adolescents called to the justice environment in judicial processes in which they participate as victims or witnesses. The methodology used was the literature review. The study contributed to the understanding of the problem surrounding the issue of children and adolescents in the current justice environment and to the understanding that for the purpose of designing the projected space, this audience has been neglected in their needs, expectations and desires.
