Abstract

This paper presents an interpretative analysis of the architecture of Decio Tozzi, based on the assumption that this architect carried out in his residential projects experiments of certain design strategies that were later concretized on a larger scale in the project of the Ruy Barbosa Labor Forum. The research was carried out from the reading of the architect's texts, analysis of the drawings of the architect's collection, elaboration of investigative drawings, photos and visits. The observed planning strategies are: the plan and the organization of the program, the vertical section and the natural lighting and the metaphor of the “square”
