CICLOMOBILIDADE: AVALIAÇÃO E QUALIFICAÇÃO DO PROGRAMA CICLOVIÁRIO DA REGIÃO METROPOLITANA DA GRANDE VITÓRIA

Abstract

The paper discusses the cyclemobility and its importance as a sustainable transport, its objective is to evaluate and qualify the proposed actions of the Metropolitan Region of Grande Vitória’s Cycle Program (PC-RMGV), in the light of cycleinclusive city concepts’, focused on Vila Velha’s Central region. Based on the evaluation and the theoretical framework adopted, a preliminary action plan is proposed for the program’s qualification. The methodology adopted involved: bibliographic review for the theoretical basis and identification of the criteria for analysis of the program; diagnosis of the study area focused on aspects of cyclemobility; evaluation of the actions proposed by the RMGV’s Cycle Program; and presentation of planning and urban design actions aiming to qualify the program.
