Análise Iconográfica sobre acessibilidade, ergonomia e inclusão em Cartilhas de Acessibilidade Urbana

Abstract

Architecture has a fundamental and essential role in generating inclusion, mobility, security and autonomy of people in all environments and this becomes a clear demonstration of the challenges related to the built environment. The aim of this paper is to present an evaluation on the proper inclusion of Universal Design parameters, ergonomics and inclusion questioning their impacts. This research is based on two methodological steps: literature review and iconographic analysis of primers from CREA (Federal Council of Engineering and Agriculture) and CAU (Council of Architecture and Urbanism), focusing on urban accessibility. We hope to see how iconographic materials made available through different sources can contribute to a critical look at the application of Universal Design concepts in architecture and urbanism projects.
