Though utopic, full accessibility should be emphasized with due emphasis on architectural production, especially in public works. It is perceptible the lag in the equal distribution of accesses based on the peculiarities of the users. This research presents the perception of different groups - with and without disabilities - regarding the main difficulties faced during a pre-defined course by the Rectory of the Federal University of Paraíba. Using guided walks, a semi-structured questionnaire and the volunteers' own reports, the main problems of the building were diagnosed with regard to orientation and signaling systems. The objective is to understand and diagnose the public demands, for the institutional building in question, resulting in a previous diagnosis, this taking into account the criticisms of users. In order to comply with universal design principles, volunteers were distributed in groups with disabilities - physico-motor, visual, hearing and reduced mobility - in addition to those mentioned previously as without disabilities. Such practices allowed the creation of guidelines for accessible signaling systems that could be applied integrated or not, in order to match information access to all audiences, based on the principles of Wayfinding and standards such as NRB 9050 [ABNT (2015)] and Law no. 13. 146 [Brazil (2015)].
