A ARQUITETURA BIOCLIMÁTICA NOS HOSPITAIS DO ARQUITETO JOÃO FILGUEIRAS LIMA, LELÉ: Análise comparativa entre a primeira e a última unidade da Rede Sarah de Hospitais
Abstract
This article addresses the theme of environmental comfort in hospitals and discusses the bioclimatic strategies used by architect João Filgueiras Lima, or “Lelé”, in two hospitals of the Sarah Network. Passive comfort strategies in projects, which consider the influence of the local climate, directly contribute to improving the quality of the built environment and user comfort. Lelé is known for considering these issues in his projects, both in form and capacity. In Sarah Kubitschek Network hospitals, as solutions adopted by the architect that offer more pleasant, healthy and diminished environments or the use of mechanical air conditioning systems, use or consumption of electricity. Thus, this article aims to verify the evolution of the processes designed in the Sarah Network of hospitals, having as its object of study the first hospital of the Network, Sarah Brasília - DF (1980) and the last, Sarah Rio de Janeiro - RJ (2009). The methodology of the article is composed by systematic literature review and a simple analysis of the projected aspects adopted by the architect in hospitals. An analysis showed great evolution in the projected decisions, which conditioned and improved constructive elements very present in his works, such as “barracks”, the result of a great study and experimentation of architect, allied to his organization in creating items pleasant to the users.
