Atuar na metrópole: um bairro histórico e o exercício projetual

Abstract

RESUMO O trabalho é o resultado de um workshop realizado recentemente com alunos e professores da Faculdade de Arquitetura e Urbanismo – Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie, da Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de Barcelona – Barcelona / Espanha e da Faculdade de Arquitetura da Universidade do Vale dos Sinos – UNISINOS, São Leopoldo / RS. A temática proposta foi “CENTRO DE CULTURA E ARTE MIDIÁTICA. REVITALIZAÇÃO URBANA. INCUSÃO DIGITAL. DISSEMINAÇÃO DA CULTURA DIGITAL”, para atender a uma demanda da cidade de São Paulo e para compreender a comunicação digital dentro de sua vocação de promotora da inclusão social através da cultura. Diante da realidade de esvaziamento das áreas centrais, a escolha recaiu pelo bairro da Luz por seu valor histórico, seus edifícios de valor patrimonial e alto potencial de transformação pela mudança de uso e pela próxima inauguração de uma nova estação de metrô, que possibilitará maior adensamento habitacional e integrará a área ao território maior da cidade. As conferências críticas geraram os primeiros debates sobre a não possibilidade de resolução por um projeto síntese – o plano e a primazia da arquitetura do grande edifício – e a necessidade de incorporar A DIFERENÇA, A MULTIPLICIDADE DE HÁBITOS E DE OCUPAÇÃO DO ESPAÇO URBANO. ABSTRACT This text is a result of a workshop recently carried through with students and professors of the Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie- São Paulo/SP, Escola Técnica Superior de Arquitetura - Barcelona/Spain and of the Faculdade de Arquitetura da Universidade do Vale dos Sinos - UNISINOS, São Leopoldo/RS. The thematic proposal was a center of art, urban renovation and digital inclusion, to take care a demand of the São Paulo city and this vocation of cultural activity . Ahead changing reality of the São Paulo downtown areas, the choice felt to the Luz quarter with its historical value, its buildings of patrimonial value and high transformation potential for the changing use and considering the next inauguration of a new subway station that will make possible greater housing density and will integrate the area to the biggest territory of the city. The critical conferences had generated the first debates about the no possibility of resolution for a project synthesis – and the plan and priority of the great building architecture were abandoned- and was increased the necessity to incorporate THE DIFFERENCE, THE MULTIPLICITY OF HABITS AND DIFFERENTIATED OCCUPATION OF THE URBAN SPACE.
