A DESMATERIALIZAÇÃO DA ARQUITETURA EM INTERVENÇÕES SOBRE O PATRIMÔNIO EDIFICADO

Abstract

RESUMO Este artigo debate a requalificação de edifícios ou sítios históricos a partir do recurso da desmaterialização do objeto arquitetônico, princípio construtivo que reavalia paradigmas tectônicos como a expressividade da massa construída, enquanto mote de intervenção. Objetiva investigar a validade deste recurso em minimizar o impacto das intervenções e na preservação da integridade formal do preexistente, além de contribuir com a discussão de tendências contemporâneas de requalificação e reciclagem em edifícios ou sítios históricos. O universo de estudo é composto por intervenções internacionais, principalmente européias, e nacionais, da segunda metade do século XX. Os exemplares são estudados em caráter descritivo-analítico e distribuídos segundo 03 categorias: (i) modificação interna de edifícios históricos; (ii) modificação externa de edifícios históricos; (iii) construção de nova edificação em sítios históricos. Frente ao conceito da desmaterialização, analisamos a forma edilícia, o acabamento das superfícies externas, detendo-nos em contrastes ou continuidades entre o novo e o antigo e na provável atectonicidade da intervenção, apontando direcionamentos na requalificação do patrimônio cultural edificado. Através do recurso da desmaterialização demonstra-se como relações de contraste entre novo e antigo podem preservar a integridade formal do edifício, reconhecendo ainda o valor de uma arquitetura “ausente” ou “transparente”, que não impacta com o preexistente, mas que lhe proporciona uma percepção lenta e gradual do contraste entre as partes antiga e nova. ABSTRACT the architectural object, constructive purpose which reevaluate tectonics paradigms like the expressivity of the constructed mass as a principle of intervention. It objectives investigate values of such purpose in minimize impacts of interventions and the preservation of the formal integrity in preexistent, so, intends to contribute to the discussion of contemporary tendencies of requalification and recycle on historical buildings or sites. Composes the study universe, international, european at most, and Brazilian interventions at the second half of the XX century. The samples was descriptive-analytically studied and cast in three categories: (i) internal adaptation of preexisting buildings; (ii) external modifications of existing buildings; (iii) construction of new edifications in historical sites. Assumed the concept of dematerialization, we analyze the edilicial form, the accomplishing of external surfaces, attempting to contrasts, continuities, and in the probable atectonicity of the intervention, pointing tendencies on requalification of built cultural patrimony. By the purpose of dematerialization, we shall demonstrate how relations between old and new may preserve the formal integrity of the building, recognizing even, the value of an “absent” or “transparent” architecture, which not impacts with the preexisting, but proportionate first a slowly and gradual perception of the contrast between old and new arrangements.
