As experiências na cidade e o ensino de projeto de arquitetura e urbanismo nos dois primeiros semestres

Abstract

This paper deals with the teaching of architecture and urban design in the first year of the Architecture and Urbanism Course of Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina. It aims to demonstrate the didactic-pedagogical arrangement adopted for the two initial disciplines of architecture and urban design. To do so, it contextualizes the course and related disciplines; discusses the theoretical bases underlying the process; reveals the procedures used to introduce students to the heart of the discussion about the inseparable relationship between architecture and city; and presents some work done by students in the last two academic semesters (201.2 and 2019.1). As a discussion, it analyzes the presented works and evaluates the degree of maturity of the students, at the end of the first year of the course, to deal with the problems of design and with the list of possible solutions.
