| dc.description.abstract | RESUMO O presente artigo se propõe a refletir sobre a abordagem das práticas preservacionistas realizadas pelo órgão federal de preservação patrimonial, o IPHAN – ou de outras instituições, que seguem as referências/recomendações definidas pelo IPHAN – que tendem a perpetuar um ideário baseado na busca da cristalização de determinadas “eternas imagens do passado”. Destacamos, nesta reflexão, as contradições entre a teoria e a prática em muitas das experiências de conservação de sítios históricos brasileiros, uma vez que esta postura idealizadora de um passado “original” permanece fortemente ligada às definições oitocentistas de restauração. Assim, buscamos relacionar esta prática ao arcabouço teórico da restauração e conservação, em especial as contribuições observadas entre a segunda metade do século XX (Cesare Brandi) e o início do século XXI (Salvador Muñoz-Viñas). Para exemplificar a análise aqui empreendida, apresentaremos alguns exemplos de intervenções idealistas realizadas em cidades de pequeno e médio porte pelo IPHAN do Ceará. Mais do que verificar/comprovar determinada prática, buscamos aqui refletir sobre as possibilidades para a superação de tais atitudes. Como aproximar discussões teórico-acadêmicas da prática utilizada pelas instituições patrimoniais brasileiras? Qual o legado das posturas brandianas e o que a teoria contemporânea da conservação tem a acrescentar? Como superar a recente dicotomia surgida entre Brandi x Muñoz-Viñas, ressaltando as importantes contribuições de cada um deles, em busca de uma prática conservacionista inclusiva e autêntica? ABSTRACT The present article intends to propose a reflection on the approach of the preservation practices accomplished by the federal heritage organ of preservation - IPHAN – or of other institutions, that follow the references / recommendations established by IPHAN – that tend to perpetuate a set of ideas based on the search of the crystallization of certain "eternal images of the past." We highlight, in this reflection, the contradictions between theory and practice in many of the experiences of conservation of Brazilian historical ranches, since this idealized view of an "original" past remains strongly linked to the definitions restoration that were used in the 1800s For this reason, we attempt to relate this practice to the theoretical framework of the restoration and conservation, especially the contributions observed between the second half of the XX century (Cesare Brandi) and the beginning of the XXI century (Salvador Muñoz-Viñas). To exemplify the analysis here undertaken, we will present some examples of idealistic interventions accomplished in small and medium-sized cities by the IPHAN of Ceará. More than to verify / confirm a specific practice, our aim here is to reflect about the possibilities for the overcoming of such attitudes. How to approximate theoretical-academic discussions and the practices used by Brazilian patrimonial institutions? What is the legacy of the brandian standpoint and what can the contemporary theory of conservation add to it? How to overcome the recent dichotomy between Brandi and Muñoz- Viñas, emphasizing the important contributions of each one of them, in search of an inclusive and authentic conservation practice? | pt_BR |
