O ensino de tectônica na UFPE e a concepção arquitetônica a partir da madeira laminada colada

Abstract

The objective of this work is to raise the importance of the constructive knowledge of glued laminated wood - MLC technology, in the architectural project conception. From this understanding, it will be made an approach on the teaching of structures in the UFPE Architecture and Urbanism Course and, also shown how the concept of tectonics is fundamental when the project party is in the choice of constructive materials. Thus, two works with wood technologies will be analyzed (Pavilhão de Eventos Iporanga and Haras Polona, partnerships of architect Mauro Munhoz with Ita Construtora) to understand how the characteristics of this material can be enhanced in various ways, according to creativity. of the architect. This article intends to show the relevance of the construction of works with wood for contemporary society, which encompasses the visible aspects of architecture.
