| dc.description | O artigo defende a salvaguarda do acervo do engenheiro Rubens Meister a partir da legislação sobre patrimônio vigente. A trajetória de vida e a produção desse engenheiro suscita reflexões importantes para a história da arquitetura e da engenharia em Curitiba – especialmente, para a modernização desses campos de atuação entre as décadas de 1940 a 1990. Apresenta-se ao leitor o inventário do acervo desse profissional e algumas hipóteses sobre a contribuição de Rubens Meister para a moderna arquitetura feita no Paraná e Santa Catarina. Particularmente, para a conformação da paisagem urbana e cultural curitibana. O texto baseia-se na pesquisa realizada pelos autores entre os anos de 2016 e 2019. Discute-se os métodos e estratégias de pesquisa e seus principais resultados: uma visão mais integral sobre o legado desse personagem. Não apenas como um pioneiro da arquitetura moderna no Paraná, mas como o responsável por criar o primeiro escritório especializado de projetos arquitetônicos e o primeiro curso de Arquitetura e Urbanismo neste estado. É desta maneira singular de encarar a produção de projetos, edifícios, aulas, conferências, teses e outras contribuições assinadas por Rubens Meister que se advoga a necessidade de salvaguardar esse patrimônio. Cobra-se a continuidade de políticas e ações concretas num esforço coletivo para preservar a memória desse campo de saberes e conhecimentos técnicos. Propõe-se a criação de uma instituição específica, cujo propósito seria reunir este e outros acervos relevantes em nossa área. | pt_BR |
| dc.description.abstract | The article defends the safeguarding of the professional acquis of engineer Rubens Meister from the legislation on current assets. The life trajectory and the production of this engineer raises important reflections for the history of architecture and engineering in Curitiba – especially, for the modernization of these fields of activity between the decades of 1940 to 1990. The authors present the inventory of the professional acquis of this professional and some hypotheses about the contribution of Rubens Meister to the modern architecture made in Paraná and Santa Catarina, provinces of South Brazil. Particularly, for the conformation of the urban and cultural Curitiba’s landscape. The text is based on the research conducted by the authors between the years 2016 and 2019. The research methods and strategies and their main results are discussed: a more integral view of the legacy of this character. Not only as a pioneer of modern architecture in Paraná, but as the responsible for creating the first specialized office of architectural projects and the first course of architecture and urbanism in this State. It is in this singular way to face the production of projects, buildings, classes, conferences, these and other contributions signed by Rubens Meister that advocates the need to safeguard this patrimony. We charge the continuity of concrete policies and actions in a collective effort to preserve the memory of this field of knowledge and technical knowledge. It proposes the creation of a specific institution, whose purpose would be to gather this and other relevant collections in our area. | pt_BR |
